2. Facilitation of Academic Cooperation
The WAAT has served as a focal pointing bridging and facilitation academic cooperation between UW, Universities, and Institutions in Thailand . Activities under academic cooperation are joint research and teaching and student and faculty exchange. This is to create a regional and international sphere of cooperation in human resource development guided by the founding principle of raising the standard of living in Thailand and conduct activities for the public benefit. The focus emphasized on Science & Technology, and Education issues.

Cooperative Institution in Thailand include
•  Chiangmai University
•  Mahidol University
•  Kasetsart University
•  Sri Nakarintharawirojana University
•  Rajapatra Institute.

Some projects such as a tripartite cooperation between Mahidol University, Rajapatra Institute and UW has been implemented recently is an exceptionally good example. In this program, Mahidol University is to equip Rajapatra Institute's teachers with adequate English language skills and substantive knowledge of relevant fields of study prior to pursue Master degree and PhD at UW.
