The WAAT has been a host to a number of visitors, individual and groups, from UW and the state of Wisconsin . Of particular importance, the WAAT has been fortunate enough in recent years to host the visits of Professor Donna Shalala, a former UW Chancellor, Mr. Tommy Thompson, Governor of the state of Wisconsin , and Professor David Ward, Chancellor of University of Wisconsin.
The WAAT has in the past years initiated activities aiming to strengthen social and cultural learning and exchange between WAAT and UW. To symbolize a cultural learning and exchange between WAAT and UW, a Thai pavilion is being constructed in a park overlooking Mendota lake of UW-Madison. The project initiated by WAAT is at present co-sponsored by the Royal Thai Government through the Department of Fine Arts and the office of National Cultural Promotion Board.
