WAAT has initiated and engaged in various activities at home and in Wisconsin . Activities can be described briefly in 3 areas.

3. Reception of Visitors and Promation of Close Relationship

1. Scholarship Facility Fund
The WAAT has deeply concerned that capable Thai students enrolling at UW, who are in shortage of financial support, should be provided financial assistance to be able to complete their studies. The WAAT has thus reached an agreement with UW in 1996 to set up a matching fund in the amount of $80,000 to provide scholarship to Thai students at UW. In 1998, four scholarships, $2,500 each, were awarded. In addition, a number of Thai university professor were given WAAT's financial support to attend short courses and research practicum at UW
